Counseling services specializing in women and people with marginalized identities

The relationship we have with ourselves is fundamental to our well-being. It's the foundation upon which all other relationships are built, and sets the tone for how we interact with others and the world around us.

Doesn't it deserve nurturing?

Meet Monica ⟡

she/they

With a compassionate and empowering approach to therapy, I can help you break free from limiting beliefs, cultivate a sense of purpose and meaning, and lead a more fulfilling life. If you're ready to start living life on your own terms, I am here to help you make it happen.

Individualized Relationship Support

I believe that relationships are at the heart of our human experience, and that everyone deserves to feel cared for, loved, and valued in their relational life. I work with individuals who are looking to navigate the ups and downs of their relationships, both romantic and/or platonic. Whether you're struggling with a recent breakup, feeling unfulfilled in your current relationship, or simply seeking to deeper understand your patterns and needs around love and connection, know that you do not have to figure it out all on your own. I am here to offer my support as we work towards fostering more fulfilling and meaningful relationships in your life.

Identity exploration ⟡

I understand the importance of recognizing and addressing the unique challenges that women and marginalized identities face due to societal norms and cultural influences. My approach is intersectional, meaning that I take into account how different aspects of your environment and your identity, such as gender, race, nationality, culture, class, and ability intersect and shape experiences. By acknowledging and respecting these intersections, I strive to create an inviting and inclusive space where marginalized identities can feel seen, heard, and supported in their journey towards personal growth and healing.

Delayed ADHD and/or Autism Diagnosis

Many women who suspect or receive a late Autism diagnosis, ADHD diagnosis, or both (AuADHD, AuDHD), may experience a range of emotions, including relief, grief, loss, confusion, and uncertainty. It's common to feel like you've missed out on better understanding yourself or that you've been struggling unnecessarily for years. Diagnosis can also challenge your sense of identity and leave you feeling unsure about your place in the world. Together, we will work to explore and integrate all aspects of yourself, creating a more cohesive understanding of who you are.

EcoTherapy & Walk and Talk Therapy

Discover the power of EcoTherapy, a dynamic therapy approach that embraces the profound impact of nature on our well-being. By integrating the natural world into therapy, EcoTherapy offers a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in nature's transformative energy and discover its potential to inspire, invigorate, and enrich your life. If you're not local to the Clarkston MI area, remote phone sessions are available, allowing you to connect with nature in a greenspace of your choice--including your own backyard. This unique therapy journey explores the connection between nature and healing, inviting personal exploration, growth, and the discovery of untapped potential within yourself.

Personally and professionally, I actively educate and dedicate myself to fostering anti-racist, anti-ableist, and LGBTQIA+ inclusive practices. I warmly welcome you, as you are in this moment & whoever you may be in the future, to my practice.
